God Our Help Website Banner

Our people’s vision is to bring glory to the Savior, as we endeavor to make true disciples of Christ throughout  the nations.  “To win the lost at any cost” has increasingly become our hearts’ cry, so through our financial support of missions, our bodily support in missionary activities, and our prayerful support for God’s grace to abound, we press toward the mark of the prize of this great high calling.   We are privileged to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

“Making a Difference, One Soul at a Time!” (Jude 22)

  Our Purpose:

* To ensure that each person who crosses our paths has an open knowledge of our Christianity and is aware that the Hope which we proclaim is freely given for ALL.

* To make disciples of Christ.  Leading an individual to the Lord is the first step, which is followed by encouraging them to follow in believer’s baptism, the first step of Christian growth.  Until a new believer is firmly established, vigilant care, protection, and mentorship is a priority.

* To have as our priority, making all who enter our doors feel wanted and needed in our church family.

* To provide doctrinally-sound spiritual food for the soul through preaching, teaching, Sunday School, and age-appropriate Bible training in order that we all grow into a healthy, complete relationship with our Savior.

* To have active members as opposed to pew warmers.  Because this is OUR church, we have a responsibility to be fully-immersed team players, actively involved in her ministries.

* To devote ourselves to making individual impacts so that those individuals impact the lives of others here in the Boggy Creek community and unto the uttermost parts of the world.

Leadership Team: Our leadership team recognizes the absolute authority of God and realizes that we are but servants to the Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We count it a privilege to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word, understanding that ministry is a “get to” not a “have to”.  We fully expect our passion, equipping believers for the work of the ministry, to come to full fruition as the Lord of the harvest is uplifted and glorified.

Pastor Lane and Mrs. Kimberly Stockton

With refreshing simplicity, Pastor Lane’s fire to carefully unpack the truths of the Scripture spans the multi-generational needs of Lock Haven Baptist Church.  Because they served the Lord as missionaries in Athens, Greece, for ten years, they bring an intimate understanding of both the privilege of missionary work, as well as the other side of the coin, the difficulties of the mission field.  With a special heart for missions, they are able to unite both missionary and the local church around the central theme of  reaching the lost at any cost.  He and Mrs. Kim have eight children, and have served the congregation here since 2008..
